The Rivers Run Dry

Raleigh Harman is a forensic geologist for the FBI. In this second installment, sequel to" The Stones Cry Out", Raleigh has been transferred from Richmond, Virginia to Seattle for not following orders. She finds the Pacific Northwest filled with beauty, danger and intrigue. When a hiker goes missing, she gets her first assignment in the male dominated world of the Violent Crimes Unit. This fast paced story will have you saying "just one more chapter" as Raleigh attempts to solve the case while relying on her Heavenly Father. The forensics are fascinating and true- to- life. Beautiful descriptions of the area and surprising twists make this novel a pleasure to read. There is a passage on God's adoptive love that will bring tears to your eyes. Raleigh also has a family full of interesting characters ; a mother who is increasingly dependent, an aunt enthralled with crystals and a mystery involving her father. A great read and I can't wait for the next installment.
