Beautiful descriptions of the area and surprising twists make this novel a pleasure to read. There is a passage on God's adoptive love that will bring tears to your eyes. Raleigh also has a family full of interesting characters ; a mother who is increasingly dependent, an aunt enthralled with crystals and a mystery involving her father. A great read and I can't wait for the next installment.
